Dandelion Wishes

I made a wish for you today
I found the fullest dandelion
closed my eyes
and wished for you
to lay in your arms
to listen to our hearts beat in unison
i wished to feel that flutter everytime we touch again
to hear your playful giggle
to listen to my name roll off your lips
no one says it quite like you
right now i feel the void you left
when you left me
hanging here longing for you
by the strings in my heart
the further you separate the tighter i hang on
my heart stretches so far out my chest
just waiting for you to touch it once more
so yes i wished for you today as i did many days before
you have yet to come back to me
so for an eternity i will wish and wait for you
or the you i thought you were
and the feelings i thought were mutual
